About LBC 2 |
|
|
In 1995, an internal university consultation recommended consolidating departmental services such as grants management and human resources into a larger office known as a Local Business Center. The first LBCs were created in the Physical Science and Social Science Divisions in September 1995 and April 1996 respectively. The first LBC in the Biological Sciences Division was created in May 1996. LBC 1 was created to provide services to faculty located in the Knapp Building. LBC 2 was created in November 1997 to service faculty in the Department of Pathology and the Ben May Institute for Cancer Research. The offices are located in the 3rd floor "S" corridor in the Medical Complex. We currently provide services in the areas of grants application (pre-award), grants management (post-award), procurement, human resources (payroll, hiring, academic appointments, etc.) and course/program management (residency programs, medical courses). Our staff provides services to over 40 faculty, 50 staff, 20 residents and fellows, and 100 medical students. |
